Fr Raffaele Di Bari killed in Pajule Parish on October 1st 2000
October 1st 2000, Fr Raffaele Di Bari was killed at Ora labolo, Oguta on ambush. His Toyota Landcruiser pick-up was torched and burnt to ashes with his body and Masskit inside the car.
He was going for Mass and infant Baptism at Acholibur satellite Church. Pajule Parish and the entire Catholic world lost a Peace Hero on this day.
Remember to pray for the Soul of our Fr Raffaele Di Bari. This year it will mark the 22nd anniversary of this total self-giving for the Mission.

Today we celebrated Mass at parish for Frs Ejidio and Rafael Di Bari, the catechists murdered here in namugongo, those killed in other parts of the Archdiocese like Deacon Obol, the numerous Christians. May we all use their heroic sacrifices to improve the spiritual and the other aspects of Pajule Parish.

Just three years from now, we will celebrate the Silver Jubilee, 25 years of his Martyrdom. Fr RAFFA touched so many lives of people in Acholi land.

The best Comboni priest. I have met, I was an alter boy by then in Kalongo, he used to love children so much, that he could gathered them around him and distribute a lot of goodies to them and every often he could meet them, he used to ask them in the local language, “Nginingini imito ango?” Then we response, “wamito cwit” that we needed sweets. And the kind and generous priest would give us enough sweets. He was too Generous. We miss him. RIP The most Rev. Fr. Rafaile.
I like this timely intervention. Now is the time brethren. Casto take note Omoya. I read in another online a lady named Gifty Gillian she said Fr. Rafa baptized her from Namokora and baptism is a door way to all Sacraments.
There’s a Priest friend from Awac named after Rafa. Fr. Rafael Dibari Arop is a missionary belongings to Mary Hill currently on missions in South Africa. Most certain that Fr. Rafa also worked in Awac.
It very true he was a peace maker indeed we shall miss him forever but remember him for the good work he did in our parish Pajule and whole world. MHSRP
