Greetings all, greetings everyone!!!

The weekend of October 7th and 8th will be most remarkable in the life of PTU non-profit organisation in Uganda. On the dates above, strong PTU delegation made of 8 members met President General of DP Party who also doubles as Minister for Justice and Constitutional Affairs, and the Minister for the Elderly persons in their Ministerial offices in Kampala.

Part of this delegation proceeded to Rakai district for the wedding knot of Mr Julius and Irene in Kyondo Village close to Tanzanian border. We covered nearly 700 Kms and therefore 1400 Kms if measured with return trip taken from Madiopei.
Something fundamental happened. PTU made a big lobby for peace for the entire country and beyond by this Ministerial appointments.

While in Kyondo, Rakai district we received new Kiganda names to mark the exercise of initiating us into the family of the newly wedded couple. Fr Leonsyo Akena Ribamoi was named Fr Mpagi, meaning pillar!!!!

The Couple made a big decision to return with us for their honeymoon in Northern Uganda and they too received the second Baptism last night offciated by Rwot John Peko Lugai.
They are now called Julius Komagum and Lamara Irene, inculturated!!!

On the Tuesday of October 11th 2022, PTU leadership immediately mobilised the Pajule cultural leaders to involve them most formally in their quest for Peace building in Northern Uganda. Most immediately is their participation in the December 20th Christmas Festival for the elderly persons. Minister for the older persons will be guest of Honour!

To God we offer everything in humility and thanksgiving!! Pray for PTU.

Thank you Hon MP Santa Okot for linking PTU to Government Ministers on October 7th 2022. May God bless you most abundantly.

Thought of the day

***************((*

WHO IS REALLY IN CHARGE?
Whose agenda are you promoting? Is it of Satan or of Jesus Christ? This takes me to the motto of Makerere College School: “Be known by works” and by good works as my former headmaster Mr Edward Kasolo Kimuli and the deputy headmistress Mrs Emma Lugujjo used used to address us in morning general assembly in the 1980s.

Does the word of God have room in my my life? What about in your life? If so, it makes a whole difference. If not, too bad. The good news is that, it is not too late. One can still make the decision to accept Jesus Christ as his or her Lord and Saviour. All that is needed is a 180 degree turn.

Whose message will you believe? Under whose control will you be?

Bad news has become hot news. Bad news has become breaking news. Bad news has become exciting news. Good news has become cold news, receiving cold reception, and no longer exciting. What is happening? Are things turning upside down? Are irrelevant things becoming relevant and irrelevant things becoming relevant? Are we losing our senses to think right?

What should not occupy us are the ones occupying us and what should occupy us are no longer occupying us.

Again, Mr Edward Kasolo Kimuli, having served at Sir Samuel Baker School Pongdwongo in Gulu, used to share with us a popular Lwo proverb:
“Agulu pi poto i dogola.” Transliteration: “Water pot breaks at the door” though the headmaster translated it as, “The water pot breaks at the doorsteps.” What the headmaster meant was that, things can go terribly wrong eventually despite the fact that a lot was put into them, should we fail to safeguard. Of course, his reference was on educational attainment. The proverb applies to all scenarios.
